Almost there!!!

One more day until graduation! (: ... YYYEESS!

Melissa, Carolyn & I took a trip to the outlets today -- I got these awesome Rocket Dog shoes. Green & orange -- they were SCREAMING my name!!! 

2 days 'til Graduation

Well, we have 2 days until graduation (: No "bittersweetness" for me..only sweetness! I am sooo pumped to be graduating and moving on from college. 

Hmm...this is a picture from Starbucks (Our favorite downtown hangout, if you couldn't tell from previous posts!) -- I thought this sign was amazing! It was like a chalk paint, but all hand done! If only I had that artistic ability... (the quality isn't great because I snapped it quickly with my phone---trying not to look like too much of a nerd!)

Lake Weekend! (:

First, Praise God for bringing the rain this semester so we could have some water in the lake! (: Second, Lake Weekend is something that we've done since sophomore year @ Clemson. It's a weekend where alllll of our friends head to the Martin's Lake House for a weekend of boat rides, good food, fun, fellowship .. and games! Carolyn was awesome enough to bring her Wii -- so we had a Wii competition, played board games, read & of course...slept (a lot!) 

While Lake Weekend didn't officially start until Sunday, Haley & I got up early Saturday morning and headed to the grocery store to buy the needed food for the weekend. After that, we headed out to the lake - meeting Mike, Chris Powers, John D & his girlfriend Elizabeth! We did a lot of lazing around & tried the new Pizza Place in town (I think it's called the Carolina Pizza Co.) - other than being a little expensive, the pizza was great! (:

Toothbrush Wars

monday - april - 13 - 2009

What you see above is the result of Michael Martin. I handed him my toothbrush to put up for me & later when I went to brush my teeth, this is what I found: my FAVORITE toothbrush, bent at an unusable angle! Ugh! So, I bent it back (very carefully) & used it. I also called Mike to ask him what he was thinking!!! He laughed deviously on the other end of the phone -- so I told him that I'd pay him back..and I did! I bent a toothbrush of his that was hanging in his bag - however, it wasn't the one he uses..not his favorite ): - I couldn't bend his favorite (no, not because I'm that nice of a person) - because it was one that if I tried to bend it, it would most definitely SNAP and break in half! Well, a couple days after this, I go to brush my teeth before bed again & he'd done it again..."payback my friend" is all I have to say -- his favorite toothbrush may be broken in half after all!!

Today is the day after Good Friday, before Easter. My quiet time today was titled "The day with no name" - in it, the comparison was made to the life we live here on earth to the day between Good Friday & Easter. It's sort of a waiting period for Christ, our King to return - but there is much to be done in this time! People to be reached - Light to be spread! (: 

Mike went over to the lake house earlier today - I had to work, so he came and picked me up afterwards. We went back for a late dinner with his family...dyed Easter eggs (: and watched the Passion.

I know I've said it before, but I LOVE Thursdays, because we go to OD & Cathy's. Being away from my apartment gives me a wider variety of things to take pictures of for the day. OD & Cathy have a ton of flowers (wild & planted) that are blooming right now & they are beautiful! They also have a bird feeder in the back yard that I sat around for about 15 minutes trying to get a good picture of the birds feeding at it--with no luck. Maybe next week!

I'm re-reading Narnia (for the 3rd time)! I just finished The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe...it's one of my favorites--but I'll have to agree with Mike, it's one of the hardest for me to read (besides The Horse & His Boy) because I know what happens & I have the movie! I'm hoping to finish all 7 of them by the end of the month (: with school coming to an end & hopefully some time at the lake it may be possible!

Today I got the flu. Well...if it wasn't the flu, it was pretty dang close! Chills, fever & no sleep - the picture is what time I wish I'd gone to bed ): ... not that it would've done any good because I layed there until at least 2 AM tossing and turning - feeling awful.

This is by far one of my favorite pictures I've taken. I was hoping for one of our softball game (where we DOMINATED!) - but I forgot my camera (for the 2nd week in a row)..so once I got back from the game, I started looking for something "picture worthy." I LOVE dried flowers & with it being spring right now, I've gotten quite a few good ones! So I took one of the daffodils (that I picked from Mike's drive way!) and started taking pictures of it against the mirror hanging in my room. I love it! (:

Since I had to work today, Mike & I headed back from camping in the morning. Mike talked to his Papa on their nifty helmet talkers (I don't know what they're called, but it's hooked up to their phones so it can work off of it)...his parents ended up being about 5 minutes from where we were - so we pulled off to wait on them! We took this great picture of them & Mike had it printed and framed to give to his Mom for her birthday! (:

Today Mike & I rode the motorcycle to Devil's Fork to camp over night with the Rhodens (: We had a blast -- this picture isn't great, but I like the reflection in the camper window!  Oh yea...this camping was way different than what we're used to! They had a camper - with bunk beds, running water, TV's, kitchen appliances -- everything you could ever need!

This change has nothing to do with change. I just remembered a sign on the library bridge that read "change for change" last week. Some group on campus was asking for anyone walking by to donate their change...for change. Now, what they were changing I have no idea - their ad didn't really say. Hmmmm ... sounds fishy.
