Luke 9:23 "Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."

Deny yourself. I'll admit that I am an extremely selfish person. I have learned especially over the past 4 or 5 months just how selfish I am. But, in those same months, I have learned more about grace and forgiveness than I have in a long time. This life isn't about me. I was not put on this earth to be happy or to "live as a good person" - while I enjoy being happy and try to be a "good person," that is not what it's about. I am here to glorify God, no matter what the circumstance or what I'm feeling. He is Good, ALL the time. Knowing that makes it easier to deny myself, but by no means am I good at it. 

Be encouraged to take up your cross daily.
